If you’ve stopped by our stand at the NEC this October you might have noticed something bigger than usual. No, it’s not a super-sized Birchover. It’s the Heatherton, a brand new motorhome that combines Hillside’s usual high quality build with stylish new designs and materials. The Heatherton is not only an all-new motorhome, but it also built on a brand new, cutting edge van. The VW Crafter, named 2017’s van of the year, which boasts stylish design and an effortlessly smooth driving experience.
Breaking away from tradition, the Heatherton features a front lounge and rear kitchen & washroom layout. Consisting of the two front swivel seats and a belted rear RIB seat, the Heatherton boasts four travelling seats. With room for the whole family, the lounge provides an open and airy place to relax due to the open overhead area and the near panoramic views from the sliding door. Meanwhile during the evenings the RIB seat folds completely flat into a comfortable two berth bed. With a comfortable sleeping area, easy to use lighting and plenty of storage, the Heatherton easily adapts to your lifestyle.
Moving behind the lounge, the VW Crafter based Heatherton benefits from more storage than you’ll know what to do with. Handmade cupboards feature throughout, built from textured board with contrasting hardwood panels. Aside from the plentiful storage the kitchen also boasts a myriad of appliances. On one side we have an absolutely cavernous eye level fridge, with 115 litres of storage and a freezer compartment. Meanwhile the other side of the kitchen features a Smev combined oven & grill, a large sink and a new hybrid hob with two gas burners and one mains induction.
Beyond the kitchen, the Heatherton also boasts a surprisingly spacious and fully enclosed washroom. With a transverse, full width shower tray, the washroom also features a Dometic cassette toilet, vanity sink and a separate shower room. The Heatherton also benefits from central heating throughout along with water heater, both of which are provided by a diesel heater. Fitted above the cab is a stylish and easy to use control panel, providing access to many features such as the heaters. The control panel also has a display for the water level in the underbody water tanks.
Why not stop by Stand 10 Hall 11 the NEC to be one of the first to see it. Or stop by our open weekend on the 28th & 29th of October for some cake and coffee.

Hi, can you tell me what size the RIB bed is please? I love the way it slides to the side to provide more room – roughly how much extra width does it give? Thanks
Good morning Lee, If you could give the sales team a call 01332 207976 they would be able to give you some idea.
